Those of you who are not familiar with beauty terms. Hyaluronic Acid  or HA is the good gel-like stuff that keeps our skin dewy, our eyes moist and our joints resillient.
In practice i work with HAÂ in their injectable forms on a daily basis. I use them for facial reshaping, contouring.
What alot of people don’t know is that HA can also be injected as Skin Boosters/ Hydrators.
These days, alot of products have been launched in the market that promises to hydrate and replenish our skin with the ever-depleting HA. While injectable HA works on a deeper layers of our skin, these topical products work on a more superficial layer of our skin ensuring that our skin is adequately hydrated on both layers hence giving us that supple, dewy looks that we used to have in our late teens and 20s (Bad news for those of us in our 30s and up, HA level starts to deplete significantly).
However, worry not ! These are some of my top picks of HA containing products that may help us to forever conceal our real age !
Loreal Revitalift Filler [HA]
A 2-step regimen that packs some of the highest concentration HA in the market. The first layer of product is a serum based HA ideal for all skin types while the second layer is a thicker gel consistency ideal for people who need a more intense hydration. There’s a hint of light floral smell that i personally am not a fan of as i would usually go for a fragrance free, hypoallergenic selection.
One of the earliest developed HA containing product (and also the least known), my personal favourite to prescribe is this lightweight HA product that can be used on itself or in combination for patients who are undergoing acne treatment or other treatment that causes skin exfoliation. Fragrance and coloring free, this hypo allergenic product is suited for all skin types.
Votre Peau pour Maharis Clinic
Locally made with France-imported ingredients, this little concoction also contains Tranexacmic Acid and the oh-so-important Vitamin C anti-oxidant on top of HA ideally prescribed for skin with pigmentation problems.
PS: These products while can be applied as stand-alone treatment for non-problematic skin, they can be used together with Dermatologists’ prescribed topicals for people with problem prone skin.
